Nightfall cover derv - Guild Wars Forums

Sorry if this has been answered before, I couldn't find a topic for it...

Today my bf and I were talking about the dervish on the nightfall cover. He said it was Melonni but I disagree and think shes just a random dervish. Can anyone clear this up for us?

Varesh is on the CE.

But I guess you mean the standard edition.

Doesn't look much like Melonni.

It's not Melonni, as far as I can tell it's just a normal dervish in regular elonian armor. I think quite a few of the characters used on covers or in wallpapers are not in game, or, at least I haven't found them. I don't know who the paragon on the other side, is, either.

The cover for Factions is Nika, the cover for EotN is Jora, and the cover for Prophecies is Eve.

So the only cover that doesn't have a character that is technically not ingame, is Nightfall. Unless of course, you have the collector's edition with Varesh.

its Ms generic dervish, as seen posing for many of the nightfall skill icons, similarley, Sarah the generic ritualist poses for the factions cover art.
also the argument with melonni never wearing elonian armour works, though the nnightfall dervish looks like shes watching over villages like ronjok. but then again the wiki states its a random derv.

The Assassin on the Factions box is Nika. The Ritualist is an Unknown.

And not sure what Prophecies cover you are talking about, cause the one I see has Eve on it.

there were different prophecies boxes when it came out. warrior/necro, ele/monk, and mesmer/ranger. or maybe it was ranger/monk ele/mesmer. iuno. there were 3 diff boxes tho. i guess the one with only eve on it is what they use now.

Found the Warrior one just now. Didn't realized there were different covers.

Looks kinda like Warmaster Grast, but then again, could be any Warrior in Templar armor.

And the other two boxes.

That is Cynn.

And Mehnlo.

That Ritualist actually looks like the one ringing the bell in the Factions trailer video, watchable on Youtube. No specific name though.

Thank you guys for the input :3 I was indeed talking about the standard box. The question arose when we were looking at the back of the box of the complete collection box

I thought it was weird all the other characters were actually in the game except the derv. As for the rit on the factions box, I kind of thought she was maybe Xandra? xD

Not any particular characters in game, they were probably just meant to introduce the new classes in GW:NF

It is a reaction to want to think Xandra, but she is a hero introduced in Eye of the North. Reading up on her in the wiki, she was politically exiled from Cantha, which is why we find her in Tyria, fighting in the Norn Fighting Tournament. She is a Luxon, though.
